Turbo boost gauge wiring

Just about to fit turbo boost gauge and would like to ask what wires connect to.
What colour goes to what on ignition ? As you can see I am novice. :ok

The positive connection on your boost gauge would go to VW ignition (black), the negative would go to VW earth (brown). Backlighting to VW terminal 58b, (blue/grey).

Thanks for reply andy...
there is only 2 wires on boost gauge yellow and black.so not sure what backlighting to termanal 58b means ???!

A good idea is to give us a link to the gauge kit you've got.

Did you buy some more tubing,as 1.84meters? not long enough!
As a temporary mesure fit it somewhere in the back of the van and get a mate to read it? [foot to the floor going up a steep hill in second gear]
Post the reading please.

So it's a mechanical gauge, wiring is just for light, black to ground and yellow to dash lighting circuit so it dims with the dash lighting, as per syncroandy's post.

yes dave i got 5 mtr length of tube but only size they had was 5mil 1 mil bigger will it be ok as i have already fed it under van ?

Hi Dave got the turbo gauge going showing 18 psi in second gear up hill lots of revs. ps thats with the BOV blanked.
Just found this on vw samba forum from brickwerks
