Rear seat belts

I've had a good search throught the forum and wiki but struggling with a lot of the info.

I have a 3/4 width rear seat which folds down into a bed.

Are these the belts to use?

Is it just a matter of bolting it on to existing mounting points or making some mounting points? Haven't removed the side panels to see what's underneath yet.

With it being a 3/4 width seat with cupboards beside it I'm assuming the o/s belt would need to be a lap belt only? Or is there a way to fit a 3 point belt at this side?

I know this has probably been done a thousand times but can't seem to find the answer anywhere

Brickwerks do a set with the mounting plate you need. Or you can buy elsewhere and make a mounting plate. I know what I'd do next time [FACE SCREAMING IN FEAR]

and if you buy a mounting plate there is an easy and safer way to fix it than migging to the inside of the rear 1/4

To the op, there are ways to fit a 3 point belt using a 3/4 bed. You can fix them both from the near side (think there's something in the wiki about this) or they can go through the cupboards.

You can bolt it with the adapter - that was the original vw way. Brickwerks made a repro of their adapter if I remember rightly. Might be what mm means?

no, i sought of went into this a year or more ago, someone was welding one of simons ?i think mounts on the rear 1/4 and they lashed loads of weld on and it maybe was strong but it was messy/.
so, fist pick is say a mount

you decide where you want it on the rear 1/4 and mark round it thus

then a say 19mm/3/4 hole for the mounting bolt (gives a bit of racing play) then 4 x 8mm holes,you can do more if you wish but no real need. then hold anchor plate on the other side on panel , access via side vents and if you have metal vents the it can still be done easy i can advise if you are, then screw bolt into mount with a big juicy spacer and all you have to do is puddle weld through the 4,5.6 oor what ever holes you made, it requires zero welding skill, and to fail you would have to pull the lot through the 1/4 skin and if that was the case then this would be the least of my worries

Ah ok - mine had a factory fitting there - that should go on the wiki, there's a serious safety mistake can be made there

was going to add that you could also bond it and use nuts/bolts and plate washers.
it wont go anywhere
