I am interested in the Khyam Driveaway Sleeper Awning for my T 25 Holdsworth. Any comments on the choice would be appreciated.
One question that specifically comes to mind (indeed for all driveaways) is - does the sliding door on opening interfere with and try to rip the awning?

Re: Khyam Driveaway Sleeper
I've got a Khyam compact 300 and I wouldn't recommend it. It is a pig to put up, I have had to replace the poles as they snapped and the stitching on the channeling for the poles is coming undone. And it leaks.
I was disappointed with it as I'd read good reviews of Khyam here and elsewhere, maybe I was just unlucky.
It doesn't interfere with the sliding door, I use a pole and clamps system and have a little flexibility if I haven't positioned the van exactly right.

Hi
I have a motordome kyham tourer(i think). Its brilliant IMHO. I can get it up on my own in 10 mins
Its really easy to clamp on, and equally easy to un-erect and pack away. Sliding door wise, mine has a rip from the previous ownner and i can see its easy to do if you slam the door into it, but i have repaired it with gorilla tape and its been fine. I havent ripped it, but then im quite fussy about clamping it right and we dont always attach it and use it more as a storgae tent when we are away.
We dont use it every time we go away because it is quite bulky in the van and it does make the van a bit darker on the inside, but if we are way for a week its usually up. Hope that helps
