and we still don't know if they were manually adjusted first. I suspect not.

Going back to the beginning, how much stopping power do you expect on the handbrake, with a van that weights 2 tons? Once it's all adjusted properly, a handbrake alone is not going to do much stopping if you are heading downhill at 40mph!

i dont really expect any stopping power my friend,iv just put the new drums and shoes on,adjusted the ratchet screw,bled the system and took it for a test drive,on the emergency stop the back wheels locked up LOL
as for the old drums they measured a fraction under 10" and very badly scored too,if i could have mounted one on my record player it would have made an interesting tune!!!!, cheers
