LED Spot lights

Post by crazymilk »

Hi there

I am looking at adding a few mood lighting LED spots (the recessed type one) on the bed kick panel and side door panels. I am assuming they are 12v

Has anybody got an idea on how to wire them up?

Thanks

12v battery
12v light

low rated fuse, switch. If you need more info than that, might be better to get someone else to wire them for you.

Basically this but leave cigarette lighter plug off - oh, and black ground to switch. Don't need that either:

The only reason theres a black wire to switch is to provide a power source for light in the switch. Not needed. The circuit applies to any 12v LED lighting you want to fit but fit the lowest rated fuse you can get. If you havw second or leisure battery, wire to that but would make sense to fit a small fusebox for neatness if you don't have one.

To be honest, LED lights consume so little you could use thin speaker wire providing you note which is the red hot wire.

Good luck.
