Vw T25 windows
Hi all,
I have dug out a transporter side loading door I have had for donkeys years, it has been cut to take a window, can anyone give me an idea what you used when the glass and seal is in to fill the void on the inside please.

Hi,
I don't think there is anything, the glass seal should meet the contour of the door.
Also it may depend on if your door has a factory window or after market.

Yes there is a seal that fixes to the inner lip and sort of bridges the gap

Related to windows, the black rubber window lift trim on my drivers side especially is worn / slightly rotten, when I wind down my window and then back up the rubber lifts out of the door.
Any fixes? From my searches it looks like you need to take the window out and replace all the rubber trims etc. I'm new to this!

I replaced mine this year with some from Campervan Culture. I think these are what you mean????...
http://campervanculture.com/shop/window ... 251837703/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The old ones literally pull off and the new go on, no need to remove window.
I watched this first. To say I am a novice is a massive understatement but even I managed!

Bought the window trim and it's too long for the window. Can I just chop this down does anyone know?
Does anyone have experience in doing so?

Can you put any pictures up? May be worth starting a new thread with pictures. If not, I'm not sure you need to cut them.

Don't cut the lower trim. It's the upper that needs cutting.

Some come from 3 door golfs and would need cutting down for a 5 door or T3, and should have clips in the dorr to hold them in place.

Re: Vw T25 windows
Here are the two window seals. Hard to tell from the image but one longer than the other.
When bending the corner edge to match the old one, it still remains about 1cm too long. Is the due to metal trim? I haven't removed that as yet, but dont see the need if the old one can come out without removing that?

MM are you suggesting don't use a saw to cut the hole?
I'm about to embark on the window cut on a spare door.
Are there any special techniques you can recommend please?
