Red LIve wire from back of hazard switch

Post by brandygangster »

Hi Guys

I wired up my new radio into the van and when doing it i found a stray live wire behind radio area unconnected to anything. I pulled it back and traced it to the back of the hazard switch.

Anyone know where the wire should be connected to as my hazards are now not working, i guess it come off when i pushed the cage in but i cant see any obvious terminal etc missing a wire

cheers

On my van (early system with bullet fuses) there are two red wires going to the same terminal on the hazard warning switch - power supply from fuse 9 to the switch and then from the switch to the radio.

If you've been messing around back behind the radio it's possible that you may have shorted that wire and blown the #9 fuse (if you have the early bullet type fuses - as mentioned above) ...... I'd check that out as a possible source of problem with hazards not working
