Besides the use of a press who has got or have a picture of a special VW tool required for the fitting of a lower ball joint . any help would be greatly appreciated . thank you in advance .

Not got them but http://workshop-manuals.com/audi/a4_cab ... ial_tools/ shows the pics. Bentley shows use of VW407 pressing down on tool 40-20 on one side of joint and tool 3146 below sitting on VW402 thrust plate

Looks like you could cobble together something similar yourself from a selection of tubing if you have a press as the other tools appear to be used for loads of other VW/Audi suspension and gearbox jobs not just the T25 ball joints.

Remove boot. 50mm socket. Big press. Refit boot.

The danger in damaging them (if not a major struggle) without a press cannot be overstated.
