Leaking side windows
Hi folks-sure this is nothing new-with the recent wet weather it has become apparent that both rear side windows are leaking on my autohomes conversion! The seals look in good nick but from the inside there are ripples in the corners where they meet the glass-hard to see where the water is getting in as the seals are full of water along the bottom of each window-just wondering how big a job it is to take them out and re-fit them myself( never having done it before!) any advice gratefully received!

Re: Leaking side windows
hmm , if they are well 'puckered'
maybe some new seals as they may be old and hard though this pluckering is something a picky would help with

Re: Leaking side windows
Mick, if a rear window seal is not, er, sealed, is it likely that water can seep down between the inner and outer panels and pool in the bottom of the rear wing (by the jacking point
)?

Re: Leaking side windows
if van conversion then yes, but there is such a lot of condensation formed on the inside of the glass overnight and this has to go someplace......i dont think its that common for water to actualy get trough the seal as such, there are as you know many different leakage areas, also depends on wether its slider side or not, also on the slider side the metal behind the middle runner is often perished and unless you remove runner and fit new panel that is often an overlooked area
