AAZ injectors

Post by simonb »

I think the injectors in my AAZ engine are the wrong ones!

I have Stanadyne 29229 injectors, vw part number 028130201C

I have no idea if these are 1 or 2 stage injectors, or what the pop pressure is as it's not stamped on them like the bosch.

Can anybody confirm if these are suitable for my AAZ with tuned injection pump?

If not, what injectors are suitable?

My pump has had the governor mod, hi lift cam plate and boost pin mod.

according to my VW TPS the part number you give is equivilant (ie was superceeded by) to 068 130 202 F which is the 1Y injector not the AAZ one

AAZ one is 201 suffix B or whatever superceeds that

That's what I thought. That makes them 130bar pop pressure.

I now have 3 sets of injectors, none of them for the AAZ.

I have 2 sets of bosch and the set of stanadyne.

I know they are not two stage, but could I fit new nozzles to one of the sets I have and have them set to pop at 155bar which I believe is the spec for the AAZ ?
