Yeah, I know. It's difficult when your in a situation where you know you can do 60 and there are vehicles in the middle lane doing less than that when the slow lane is full of HGVs. Very hard to get the momentum going again with only 70bhp but I will have bear in mind it's better to do that than get pointssternal wrote:id stop that she's right...lots of points and fine I believe....
It should be remembered that you must not travel in the right-hand lane of a motorway, with three lanes or more, if you are driving a vehicle drawing a trailer.

Well after the high pressure injector line leak, fiasco which I eventually managed to rectify, I have decided to look at something that isn't as critical, but equally as annoying when using the van to camp in. The Westy tap wasn't working when I got the van, but a tweak to the micro switch got it working. However, the tap has been leaking ever since.
Happy to buy a new one from vwbusshop in Germany for €15, but with shipping this shot up to €32. Nothing a bit of plastic welding with the soldering iron and JB weld can't put right

€0
looks fine from the top!

After our four night excursion earlier on in the month I decided I couldn't live any longer staring up at the rusty H-Bar pop top mechanism.

Dropped all of the parts off to a local powder coaters on Monday so hope to have it all built up for the Easter break

I snapped mine trying to tighten the nut, I then ordered a new one from Peter, the new one leaked all the way down the seam so I ended up having to carry out a similar repair, just prized it apart and poured supa glue all the way down the seam, not leaked since.

Keith's your man (the guy making the T25 charity fire pits) for refinishing grey metal Westy components. He also reproduced and sold the complete front table/leg and bracket a couple of years back...absolutely spot on...the lower interior fridge vent and Ebberspacher outlet trim.

Re: Andy's Atlantic
Next thing to sort on my "to do list" it's change the European power socket for a uk one. No simple task as I found out
. Had to remove the storage unit along with all the electrical gubbings to get enough access to cut the bigger hole ready for the socket.

Far more protracted than I thought, but it's defo an upgrade in my eyes. Just need to put the bench back tomorrow. Good opportunity to clean everything

If you don't want to go down this road and to save all that effort, like me use a simple adaptor. It works fine and keeps things original.nordberg wrote:Next thing to sort on my "to do list" it's change the European power socket for a uk one. No simple task as I found out. Re: Andy's Atlantic
Ralf, I have done the modification. I was getting annoyed with the adaptor coming out with the plug.Ralf85 wrote:If you don't want to go down this road and to save all that effort, like me use a simple adaptor.
