E reg 1.6diesel single cab pick up?

Hello all, I'm contemplating a single cab pick up as a quirky works van for my business, its got a normally aspirated 1.6 diesel in it that will be underpowered. What would you guys recommend as a substantial power\torque upgrade without much cutting and swearing?
