low pressure oil switch - leaking oil

Hi,

Just want a confirmation that the switch located between the pushrod tubes under the tinware is the low pressure switch....Ive just ordered one as mine is leaking oil..

Yes should be the blue one
always possible somebody ha swapped them over on a late van but assume they haven't

Its a dark colour, assume its blue - wont remove until the new swtich arrives.....

You might as well remove it to check - I've come across too many oil pressure switches (albeit not on these engines) that have gone from leaking to completely blown to trust them very far once they get to be obvious...

New switch arrived 10 mins ago, thanks VW Heritage...so will pop it in tonight..

It came with its own washer, is that ok ? Ive fitted it and its not leaking now...

Did you check the light comes on with ignition ( not running) proving if works?
