Spare cable after fixing dash!

Post by pleasestartnow »

Hey all

I just replaced the heater blower and got all the dash and everything back together and just as I was patting myself on the back I noticed two wires with no where to go. They are a brown one and a blue/white one they don't seem to reach past the radio and I can't see for the life of me where they are supposed to go. Took the van for a spin and everything seems to be working lights, dash, wipers, speedometer. Do they go on the cigarette lighter maybe? Though that has the white plug part plugged into it already.

Any ideas appreciated. First time doing a big job like this and this is the last thing.

Wire to main beam warning light is blue/white, also wire to hazard switch, better check they work.

That would be grey/blue, depends how white the white is, agree that sounds like a good candidate for being disconnected and the right length.

Hey thanks all for your suggestions. The hazard switch works and so do the main beams So I can rule them out. Didn't get a chance to look at it again today so will check tomorrow if it's for vent controls but I didn't see anywhere on that for cables to go? The blower is working away fine.

Cheers

The slider controls for air distribution are illuminated by a bulb which is located in the back of the panel that the controls poke through. It has two wires to it, blue/grey and brown.

Ahhhh that must be them so. Just found the bulb on the dash where I left it when I took it out and just forgot about it.

Appreciate everyone's help. Thanks again!
