connecting my radiator

Post by ermie571 »

ok. I'm bieng dim.

I have read lots of posts, and looked at lots of pictures...but I'm still not clear. (nearside offside - confuses me)

right. this is Mr Baxters rad
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php/r ... etrol.html

there is a pipe sticking out at right angles nearly. Is this the flow INTO the rad, or the flow AWAY from the rad?

Is it as I think it is....flow INTO the rad...?

Thanks in advance

Nearside is the SIDE NEAR the edge of the road, the kerb. Passenger's side on a RHD van, driver's on LHD.

If you've got a LHD, is the 'true' nearside of the van still the passenger side (when thinking about the layout of you see what I mean)?

Yes. Nearside is nearside, no matter which side the steering wheel is. After all, there's only a few bits of van get mirrored to move the steering wheel - so the nearside of <say> the rad is always the nearside of the rad.

No, do NOT ask what happens in LHD countries. They don't have this problem, because they can just say "Driver's side", without worrying about too much which side that might be, since the very existence of RHD often comes as a surprise...
