Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

Same with me upgraded us to a bigger battery , not size wise though, up to 700 odd cca but ours fitted ok, also £7.00 off down to £42.00, with free next day delivery.

I discovered this thread last night, minutes after ordering a 90AH leisure battery from this seller. I was fearing the worst after reading this thread, but my experience is the exact opposite. It was almost 6pm yesterday when I placed my order, with free 3-5 day delivery. I was astonished to have it turn up this morning! £36 delivered for a battery labeled as 90AH* is an absolute bargain. I know nothing about the brand (Auto Elite), nor the reliability of the AH rating, but it comes with a 3 year warranty. The only downside is he didn't upgrade me - I got exactly what I ordered!

Credit where credit's due.

I always felt this thread should have been dumped to be honest. The original gripe should have been kept between buyer and seller. I've had a good experience with him, as have the vast majority. If it had been 'other' service providers I'm sure the thread would have vanished the same day. It just comes across as vindictive for such a low purchase price.

To be fair an 096 Battery was traditionally 185/190 tall and 175 wide but the 096 and 100 have now been amalgamated into the low profile 096 so really should have sent a note with the order saying critical height 175 required. This is what I did with the same seller and have an auto elite 096 175x175 to prove it. I use E-bay alot and there are very few dodgy sellers most are A1 and as long as you accept the risk that one day you will have to take the hit, most of the time you will be jolly happy.

Plus if you buy the cheapest battery being sold, you can't expect VIP treatment or the seller to be a mind reader :D
