it's all part of the hall sender I'm afraid

can't see it on VWH, Brickwerks or Gunzl

think this is it but different connector to yours so you would also need the mating part...

May be worth looking for a second hand dizzy.

yeah i think i'll try and find a second hand dizzy. What do you think the chances are of me fixing it with a spade and soldering iron?! Haven't had a chance to strip it down and have a look yet.

Unlikely to fix it reliably but alot depends on your skills and budget.
if you really want to fix it for nothing then you could pull the vane off and cut, solder and sleeve join a wire inside then thread this wire out somewhere next to the main connector and cut into the loom.
I would not do it myself but possible.

Well I wont do that then! Was just a thought. I've found a second hand air cooled dizzy on ebay. Are the Aircooled dizzys the same as watercooled?

Every component has a part No.
If the part numbers are identical then it will work/fit
Whether it's from a 1982 polo or 1988 MkII scirocco.
AGG 2.0L 8V. (Golf GTi MkIII)
