yeah i think i'll try and find a second hand dizzy. What do you think the chances are of me fixing it with a spade and soldering iron?! Haven't had a chance to strip it down and have a look yet.
Unlikely to fix it reliably but alot depends on your skills and budget.
if you really want to fix it for nothing then you could pull the vane off and cut, solder and sleeve join a wire inside then thread this wire out somewhere next to the main connector and cut into the loom.
I would not do it myself but possible.

If the part numbers are identical then it will work/fit

you might be lucky and somebody with a Aircooled could not find the right dizzy and stuck a T25 dg dizzy on it
