Hot air hose

Post by Delbertini »

Anyone know where I can get a hot air hose or equivalent, it's from the heater matrix to the RH vent on the dashboard. Went missing when my van had some work done and as dash pod is still out I want to replace, was thinking of a vw beetle hot air hoses in the engine bay. Any ideas???

I think its a different size (Beetle stuff bigger). Worth measuring. Caravan places (the big ones) do all different sizes of that hose though :D

Jacksons of Old Arley (which is near me) even managed to match my Propex ducting hose. Think it was a fiver a metre which didn't seem bad.

Plenty of ducting available all over the place - search for ducting rather than air hose though as you will end up with compressor airline stuff. I won't point you anywhere as you haven't said what size you are looking for.

Had a measure, circular pipe from the heater matrix is 37mm internal diameter, this goes behind the brake servo to the RH vent which is rectangular with curved edges!!! And 50x70mm. Can make an adaptor for the vent so need some 37mm ID hot air pipe.

There is a molded fitting for the back of the vent

35mm and 38mm in neoprene up to 120 degrees, silicone up to 260 degrees. I know that the silicone will not stretch but not sure about the neoprene.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flexible-Air- ... 4d08602ebd
Don't be tempted by aluminium only ducting - it rattles!

Oldiebut goodie, top tip on the hoses, ordered one length, nice and cheap too. Nice one :ok
Any idea where I can get the moulding from, it has since disappeared from the vent after work was done on the servo. Thanks people
