Clutch thrust bearing travel

Can anybody advise me, had the gearbox out as I had a broken clutch arm fork, now replaced with a new RJES fork as this is a subaru conversion but running a t25 AGT 5 speed box. Have fitted a petrol clutch arm and all looks good. As the RJES has the option to fit either petrol or diesel clutch arms there are more splines than normal so I want to make sure I fit it in the right postion. Might sound a bit dumb but does anyone know how much travel the thrust bearing has to push the clutch when all fitted back up ? At present the bearing moves almost to the end of the guide, seems right but want to make sure as I definatly don't want to drop the box again. Any ideas??
Have dry fitted the slave cylinder and the push rod travel looks normal. :?:

movement should be of the order of 10mm at the nipple
with RJES fork with 6 splines in RJES or Petrol bellhousing use the middle 4 splines if lever came from a petrol bellhousing or the end ones nearest the engine if lever came from a diesel set up

if using in a diesel bellhousing use the middle 4 if using a diesel lever or the end for furthest from engine if using a petrol lever

Thanks for that, bell housing is a RJES and lever is from a petrol. I have used the first four splines in my setup
At the mo. 10mm movement at the nipple, is that on the clutch lever or on the thurst bearing. May have but it in the wrong place, what do you think???

Had a quick check and I'm using the first four splines away from the engine, petrol clutch arm, RJES bell housing. Is that correct???

nope you want to be on middle 4 splines

Ok will take off and use middle 4, gonna be a mission as v.tight fit. Thanks for help :ok

Hallelujah it's done, pulled fork out and managed to get a small ball joint splitter in behind the arm, put back on center 4 splines and compared with my old diesel arm set at splines nearest the engine and matched. All is good, thanks for the help, feelin very pleased with myself :ok :ok :ok

could do with this wikiing or Richard supplying instructions with the fork - I had to ask, twice, as it was months between using the first and second ones and second time it was in a VW housing

nice fork, the best there is imho

Defiantly might seem easy to those in the know but 1 spline out and your asking for a whole load of trouble. Imagine putting get the box back in only to find its in the wrong place! That's one mistake I don't want to make for sure. Info is king
