Welder / Bodyshop

Hi, I am looking for a decent welder / bodyshop close to Bolton / Bury to fit rear wheel arch panels and bottom of sliding door panels. Any help would be appreciated . Cheers AB

You want a tidy welder. No shortage of those. Ask around. You don't exactly need a VW specialist to weld something well. You just want someone that appreciates you want the rust gone rather than patches. A tidy job and sealed.

First welder I ever used was a fisherman who mostly welded hulls but he was the neatest, tidiest welder I ever met and you just knew you'd get a first class job. Any rust and he'd keep cutting back until he reached something solid. Metalmickey is that calibre too.

You also need somebody who knows how to replace the rear arches, so someone who gets the idea
that you don't weld them on the outside of the seams,and is prepared to unpick it all first if you want it done properly
Also somebody who will reskin your doors without distorting them like a banana!
