Vohringer ply suitable for floors?

Post by tforturton »

The question is in the title - is lightweight Vohringer ply suitable for use on van floors? Does it come in big enough sheets, and in suitable thicknesses? Anyone know?

i think it comes in 3 or 15mm thicknesses.
It would be large enough to cover the floor (8x4), and i'm sure at 15mm thick it would be strong enough for the floor in a van.

but why???? it's so expensive. Is weight saving that crucial?

sorry, re-read your post. 'suitable'. I dont think so, the laminate isn't designed to flooring.

I wouldn't use it on the floor. Just go with some standard Wsb ply, cheap as chips and can be bought as one piece. I used 12 or 15mm.
