Interested In Why This Pump Is Listed?

Post by Chunksta »

Guys,

Without sounding like a complete muppet, where does this get fitted and why is it on the system?

Is it to add additional flow up to the rad?

It is fitted to some engines to keep the water circulating for a while after the engine has been switched off to stop the water boiling in the cylinder heads.

Thanks guys!

I wonder if I had one of these the old girl might not have overheated after the run down to Brighton Breeze and the subsequent "queue" a couple of years back.

I always thought a small waterpump must struggle to move all that water to the front?
