OK I need to clear something up (and don't laugh)! :D

Is a right hand brake caliper o/s or n/s?

Nearside (n/s) is 'near the kerb', so when driving on the left a right hand caliper is offside (o/s).

Does RHS=N/S on a left hand drive van; and O/S on a right hand drive?

The NEARSIDE is always the SIDE NEAR the kerb, no matter where the driver sits. But, obv, if the vehicle's on the other side of the road, then it'll be the other side.
