COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Post by skye »

Hi,

Had a major drama last night when the drive belt snapped and blew the header tank sensor out!! Fortunately no other damaged occurred much to my relief!!

Can anyone advise me where i can get a new sensor from? It is black in colour. I have checked just kampers and brickwerks but no stock.

Many thanks.

GSF will likely sell them, double check the threads in the reservoir aren't ruined though

Thanks for the info Lloydy.

I'll check the threads in daylight tomorrow before anything else. I notice the sensor probes are different on the brickwerks model but I suppose that doesnt make any difference.

Yes the threads seem fine.

Googled the part no of the sensor and justkampers do have one in stock which is spooky after not having one in a search yesterday. £8.50 as opposed £ 28.39 on brickwerks too....... job done hopefully! :D

Apart from the aftermarket ones tend to leak

£8.50...

You'll be changing that again.

I think the one I bought in Poland was €3... and it's not leaking (yet).
