No not Credance Clearwater Revival but the Custard Bomber.
Got a bit of a knocking from rear wheel area so put the rear up on axle stands so that I can run it in gear and see where the knocking is coming from.
Started engine, gears in neutral. got out of cab to find both wheels turning slowly on tickover.
checked it was in neutral and it was.
Is this normal?
forgot to say gearbox has been refurbished by Aiden a couple of years ago and he kindly came down to refit it for me after some initial problems with the refurb so I would assume that is all ok.

Probably CV joint. Check security of bolts. Tends to be outers that can work loose. The knocking usually becomes an almight 'TWANG' and then no drive. Forget about the wheel movement.

the viscosity of the gearbox oil transmits a teeny weeny bit of drive between the dis-engaged gears in the 'box. with the wheels on the ground nowt happens, but up in the air with no resistance, they will spin slowly.
