Rain dripping into rear air intakes

Just looking at old threads regarding rain dripping into d pillar air intakes. One or two suggestions how to cure this, including fitting magnetic strips to divert the water flow. Probably a stupid question, but the only magnetic strip I can source is self adhesive. I don't want to stick the strip to the bodywork so I can remove for cleaning, but also don't want the adhesive side to be on the outside.
Anyone used this solution, or any other ideas?

Go to your local tip / recycling centre and ask if you can cut a seal off an old fridge door. If you cut the white covering, you'll find the magnetic strip inside. It's what i did after a recommendation from a thread on here. The magnetic strips can be cut to the desired length.

Hehe - thanks Ralph, but if we're trying to trace the origins of this mod we need to go back further than my post. I was just copying what I saw on PaulG's van at Bustypes earlier this year.

I bought the magnetic strip with the stickiness on the outside - is absolutely fine - will probably give it a quick coat of paint just to match the air vents:

Just dissected fridge door seals at friendly recycling tip, extracted mag strip and fitted. Works a treat. Cost: £0
Result! No more drip drip drip! Thanks for advice guys, much appreciated.
