Hi,
Before I break the retaining legs on the glovebox under the dashboard, can you and how do you release the glovebox without touching the dashboard?
Regards
Graham

There should be a plastic strap in each top corner. If you un-hook them the glove box will swing down dumping the contents into the foot well.

Hi,
Should of said.........the plastic hooks/ arms seem not too have that much flexibility to allow a small amount of play to unconnected from under the dashboard, MY90, LHD, Westy.

Mine are missing entirely. I've not as yet come up with a satisfactory solution either.

Re: Before I break something..........Glovebox
One of mine is broken too
I'm thinking make a replica shape from thin 1.5mm aluminium, drill say three holes in the glove box further down away from the edge where it could crack and bolt it on with penny washers.
It will bend out of the way and back when needed enough times to last many years before it breaks. Making the point of fixing further down will help reduce the stress too as the tab will be longer, so flex per distance is less.
option 2 is the same but make it from plastic sheet, must be thick enough to hold the weight maybe butcher a square drain pipe or gutter fitting for a few pounds.
happy to post a pic of the shape of the one left with dims if needed, I assume they are the same?
