Hi guys,
Just bought a replacement black A-Pillar trim from JK that slides on. It's a hard plastic type not the 'firmish' rubber type that was on my van. Does anyone know if the hard plastic type is original to my '84 panel van? It says on the JK site it's an 'original equipment' but not sure if this means an original part? Any advice appreciated.

Dunno. Fitted mini wheel arch trim to mine which has very similar L-shaped profile and cheap. Also available in chrome finish.

Should be hard plastic for your panel Bighal.
Yep, you got it right.

Thanks CovKid. Just finding my feet on here. I'll have a look at the mini arches. Cheers.

Thanks Chunksta. I was worried as the plastic type looked inferior as a product but good to know the original spec type.

Any chance of a piccy? Bit loathed to spend £20+ for a piece of plastic.

Not the best pic but if you look in downloads section for PDF on painting your camper for £50, the shots of the blue camper are mine. You can see the moulding. I opted for chrome but they do it in black too. You'll need to use a little silkaflex or mastic so it doesn't slide off, but it fits the profile very well. You can also use it on guttering too. £20 buys a hell of a lot of it - enough to do the guttering too I should think.
