My jx won't start from cold. The AA guy reckoned 2 of the plugs were probably not working. I see the glow plugs are tucked "conveniently" behind the fuel pump and injectors!
The van is now at my local garage as I do not have the time or skills to tackle this particular issue, but I'm sure other people have had this issue, how much am I looking at
Hi probably of no help to you but there was a thread around glow plugs I just read in the Mechanical section of the forum.
Think eurocarparts had x4 bosch glow glow plugs for about £40 when I looked a few weeks back and installation is apparently fiddly so I guess £110 doesn't sound too far off.
Did mine on the Komet 1.7 and syncro 1.6td yes fiddly but but no big issues,£30/£40 for the plugs.
Had to get the good lady (smaller hands) to assist with the syncro as 2 where quite a tight fit and i could not get at them with my hands, ended up using blutack on a long screw driver to get help the last 2 nuts in place and on.
Taking the time i spent, £110 sounds about right for a garage.
Made a big improvement to both vans when starting.
