Battery

Can anyone tell me how to get my battery out from engine dept on my diesel.

Can you not get into the engine bay?

I'm into engine bay, but can only disconnect neg lead and cannot get to pos lead
As it is to the right of engine bay under bodywork :

In that case....undo the retaining bolt/clamp that holds the battery to the tray, then hopefully there will be enough movement in the battery to access the positive terminal clamp...its quite safe with the negative terminal disconnected.

Thanks. I've done that and it hits the alternator, so looks like it's got to come out?
