6x9's in Doors

Post by Chunksta »

Guys,

Anyone added 6x9 speakers in front door of T25's please?

Did you need to do so?

I have reason was previous owner had some massive speakers mounted in the door unfortunately they didn't work and nothing would have fitted.

I made a template out of marine plywood...shucks will take a picture for you tomorrow was very easy.

Previous owner fitted 6x9s in the bottom of my doors, along with 6" components infront of the winder handles. Also has 2 12 inch subs under the back seat with another two 6x9s. My van rivals a bloody PA System, but the sound quality is spot on and loud music is good :ok

Ill try and get a picture of the doors this eve if i remember.

Better than the massive round holes that were there before, that was the only way to ever make speakers fit.

Why what would you have done ?

Point taken, though by the end of a muddy weekend of camping Im sure they would be covered in mud specially with my two boys.

If only the speakers had been that size, what was cost/method to make/buy ?

They can take most speakers, 6x9 are no problem.
They cost about 5 euro a side for the MDF plus covering and sealing varnish.

If I lived closer I could do you a pair for about 30 euro.

Id rather have no speakers in the door ! The previous owner fitted such massive round speakers in the doors there wasn't anything that remotely came close to fitting hence my cut outs !

Thanks for the offer if you were closer id take you up on the offer !

Maybe it can be on my to do list !
