fuel tank leak.

Post by biker1981 »

I sold my van today, but 20 mins later the guy brought it back.

The fuel tank was removed a few months back and new breathers etc put on ive never had a problem with it leaking, but then don't put more than £50 in the guy who took it today put £65 in and it was dripping out in a continuous line but it was dark so could see exactly where from other than it seemed like the side where the petrol filler fits. when I refitted this I know the filler just pushed into the tank and I fitted a new seal.... can anyone advise where to start please ? it was a pig to remove the tank so don't really want to do it again :(

I had this on my van. Exactly same thing, it was the O ring on the fuel sender.
