Best oil

Hi,
What is the best engine oil for the 1.6, JX, Turbo diesel?

Checked the forums Wiki, will stick with a mineral oil thou.

Diesel specific (primarily for Diesel engines and not just an oil that is suitable for Diesels as well)
The inline 4 engines are not as critical on viscosity (don't suffer from tappet drain down) like the flat 4 boxers. So I would recommend a 10W 40. It certainly doesn't have to be mineral either...a semi or fully synthetic is better in this case although some will argue about disturbing carbon deposit build up...However, if the engine has been maintained on a regular basis there should be no reason for not using synthetic, part or full.

I always used a semi synth 10W40 when I ran a diesel.
Changed along with the filter every 5000km or once a year which ever came sooner.
