Split Radiator

Post by BertieWells »

So having replaced the water pump etc at the back i have over tightened the bleed screw on my radiator. Popped to the shops get home and coolant all down the front of the van. Here is the damage:

Is this fixable or am i going down the out with the old in with the new. Im fairly skint at the moment and have been told q-bond will do the job.

Any advice really greatly recieved

Try that metal putty they do in 99p stores. Fixed loads with that.

Would ptfe tape be of any use?
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Just seen the remainder of the photo, I thought it was just the threads gone on the bleed screw. Thus, ptfe will not suffice.
