Re: unwanted water feature in my van when it rains!
Thanks for the tips everyone. There doesn't appear to be any rust or holes around the wipers or washer jets, just that one around the windscreen seal.
She's going to have the gear problem looked at next Friday, then will be going into another garage the following week to have her bodywork sorted out. Nothing too major by the looks of it. Hope not anyway
Once it's all done and she's as rust free as possible, I will do my best to keep on top of things and pounce on any rust bubbles myself as and when I find them. Hopefully that way we can delay the next inevitable respray as long as possible. Well, that's the plan anyway!
MM, unfortunately I won't be able to get any pics during the rust battle, as it's being done at a local coachbuilders/ bodywork repair garage. I will be dropping her off and leaving her there for them to work on, so won't get to see her again till she's done and ready to collect.

then if you havent yet then ask them to take a load of picks as they uncover stuff and then the repairs prior to covering with whatever they do , its good providence and if they say they havent time as some do then i would walk.
oh and if your dropping it off local then why wopnt you be able to see it again , just curious

Thanks for all your advice guys. It's ok. I've known this guy for a good while and I know i can def. trust him to do a good job.He does some mechanics but its a coachbuilder garage and they specialise in body repairs. He was originally reccommended to me by a good friend who always takes her car to him. Shes known him for many years. He 's done body repairs on my old Renault a few times and he does a brill job. I can pop up to see the progress and take pics but I work full time so could only do it on the Saturday. Shes with Matt having her gear problem sorted at the mo. She will be going to Phil's garage on Tuesday to get her bodywork done.I will have a chat with him and ask what he plans to do. Will keep you posted and post pics as and when.
