Hello all,
I am just putting together a 1y to drop into our van after it blew its head in a particularly remote and picturesque part of Dartmoor and got it towed back to Southampton.
Anyway I have come across the seemingly impossible while swapping the flywheel from the 1.6 to the 1y, the clutch pressure plate bolt holes no longer align with the flywheel holes, same FW same Clutch parts, what`s really weird is that there are 2 location dowels that fit snugly to the pressure plate and they don't look bent, I can get 1 bolt in but the rest are a few mill out by the seems of it.
Does any one have any clues as to why this may be or am I being a donut ?
Cheers.

Re: Impossible things !
Does one of them need turning round, front to back so to speak?

Hey all,
time for a laugh ---I didn't notice there was a missing dowel so could rotate the thing into place - DOH!
Also forgot to put on the plate thing that goes behind the flywheel...Start again...
time to go for a pint me thinks...
Cheers...
