V-Belt question

Post by dekhelia »

Last time I bought a V-Belt for my AAZ, the 'correct' part was 888x10mm. But when this one was at a decent tension around the alternator and water pump pulleys, there was virtually no adjustment left in the belt - ie, the alternator 'slider' was pretty much at its maximum extension.

Is it ok to buy, say, a belt that measures 850x10mm?

What does everyone else get, with these engines?

Just measure what you need for your own setup - http://www.durabelt.com/beltlengthcalculator.php if you can't see how to do it. Things change engine to engine like pulley diameter and groove width.
