Do you know of anyone using POR15 tank sealer to cure the rust problem?
Bit of an old post now but; A lot of the tank sealant cotings seem to be failing due to the increasing amounts of ethanol in fuel. There have been many sorry stories in the Vet And Vint motorcyle press. I have no idea about POR15 and it may well be a brilliant product. Just check it out very carefully.
Oh, if you want to make the van go faster why not put a (very fine) ZXR750 engine in?
Are we going on anything else?

Re: T25, top speed 45 MPH
POR15 is an excellent product, I've used it on many a bike tank with no probs.
The resin based ones use-to fail but like Kev said its less hassle to fit a new tank.
Thanks, BOXY & Lefty for the links, looks like I need to get the timing sorted before setting the carbs up.
Will check out a few more things at the weekend and let you know.
Cheers

Re: T25, top speed 45 MPH
What problems were you having & what sorted it?
Re: T25, top speed 45 MPH
I was setting mine to 6 deg BTDC rather than ATDC it was originally set on about 12 BTDC so i just assumed it needed turning back a bit to 6...
I knew it was'nt right by the way it turned over, it was slow then fast & so on...
