Recommended VW Garage in North/West/East London?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

Recommended VW Garage in North/West/East London?

Post by vwvanmanc »

I own a 1990 T3 Vanagon, looking for a garage who gives a damn and is able to give service not excuses (it's a Caravelle/Transporter after all), i've been recommended Jacks in Notting Hill/Ladbroke Grove & Universal in Latimer Rd. Any one have any advances on this, anywhere in Central London really, looking for reasonable prices & good honest service. All advice and contacts appreciated.

I recommend my preferred garage, German car specialists with a massive amount of experience of the older vehicles. They did a top-end rebuild on my 1.9 WBX this Summer, it's running beautifully now. They have also maintained my old W124 Mercedes for a few years to a great standard -very trust-worthy and knowleageable, if not the cheapest.

Check out the Wiki entry for specialists - my review is there. Automerc, North London.

Agreed. Jack's was a reliable (if expensive) van specialist years ago when it was owned and run by a kiwi. He sold up and it's not been the same since. As a consequence I've been using Chiswick Car Craft in Acton, which specialises in classic vehicles since then.
Automerc seems like a useful alternative down your way!
