ok so i got the bugger off :)

Now i just noticed that even though the filler tank is empty the expansion tank is almost full ... strange??

Other than that weird thing can i go ahead and take this pipe off now?

Well i took the pipe off as i assumed its going to have to come of one way or another and eurika i have found the hole.

The good news is that the part is on sale at vdub heratige ... the bad news is that it 45 quid so im just going to get it welded up for now.

Thanks for all your help guys :)

Will post back when its all back together and working. Still have to refill the radiator system ... that will be fun :D

Well Kev you wont believe this ... Coolant leak again, this time its in the shorter section of the same bit of pipe ... FUMIN!!

Ha im sure there is but im a student so its a case of do it once and then fingers crossed.

I did have a good inspection of the pipe before putting it back on the engine and couldnt see anything obvious. Obviously rusting from the inside out.

I will get it welded one more time then if it goes again it will be a replacement of the two pipes :) Shineeyyy

But yes ... definitly a lesson here :mrgreen:

Im getting it welded up as I type as I need to do a hundred miles or so this weekend. Ordering the new pipes tonight. They are crazy expencive though :(
