T25 Engine Replacement - Mechanic Recommendations Please!

We would be grateful for any recommendations for mechanics who can competently undertake an engine replacement for our beautiful 1985 T25. We are based in Northampton, but are happy to have her relayed further afield. Please help if you can, we'll be very grateful

which engine do you have / want ?

At the moment she has a poorly fitted 1.9TD engine from a VW Passat. One mechanic who looked at her said she looked like the engine had been loaded onto a forklift and rammed into the engine void. Previous to that she had a Caddy engine.

Your looking for an AAZ engine then.. plenty aboot!
Consider buying the whole car to get the right engine, car then can be sold on for scrap

In Welingborough, just down from Aldi. Had engine replaced by them and any other work he couldn't or wouldn't do. He used them for about ten years before they bought a bigger van.
