I was going to buy a breathable cover for my van for this winter but having looked around the forum the general opinion seems to be that they do more harm than good so I'm going to wax it instead.
I've looked online for Carnuaba wax which I believe is what I need to be using but there's loads of different manufacturers out there and I'm sure some will be better than others...
Please can anybody that has used carnuaba wax recommend/warn against any particular brands before I part with my hard-earned beer tokens?
Thanks

Re: which wax?
Auto express did a test of car waxes a while ago
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessorie ... car-polish" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
surprisingly £3.99 halfords own label beat the fancy brands.
I use it on my camper and "other car" - harder to apply and polish off but lasts..
Best

Re: which wax?
For the summer months, i usually use Dodo Juice, however, for the upcoming winter season i use Collinite 476S - it goes on lovely, but needs a lot of elbow grease to buff off once cured - it does last a good 6 months though. Here's a link to when i machined my van and used the Dodo Juice last year:

I agree, Collinite is excellent and the longest-lasting wax I've ever used.
I have not found it hard to buff at all compared to some others. I apply it with a damp microfibre pad a panel at a time and buff straight off... don't put it on thick as the excess is wasted and hard to remove, and don't leave it on too long before buffing. Avoid hot Sun. Brilliant stuff, very tough indeed.
