What's needed to get this wheel ready to transport the van?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

What's needed to get this wheel ready to transport the van?

Post by Jonnyb416 »

Can somebody please give me a few pointers here?

I am hoping to get my van on it's next journey to have my project finished but before I do I need to get this rear wheel back on so it can be taken away on a trailer. I got this far and realised this whole task was way beyond my skill level so off it goes.

Do I need to put the new brake pads on?
Do the CV joints need putting back on?

I was hoping I could refit the shock and spring. Put the 4 bolts back that holds the bearing carrier to the trailing arm. Make sure the trailing arm bolts that are attached to the bodywork are done up. (Maybe not necessarily in that order)

I have a torque wrench if that's helps.

Any help is appreciated.

Jon.

you're right!
no brake pads, cv joints or half-shaft needed.
just the swing arm bolted to chassis near jacking point, spring on, shock bolted up, bearing carrier bolted to swing arm, wheel bolted to carrier.
