Spray job Gloucestershire

Post by ChrisTriple »

Hi all I'm looking to get my van sprayed up and any rust sorted out, I live on the Gloucestershire Oxfordshire boarder. Can Anyone recommend somewhere? And a rough idea of what I might be looking to pay?

Cheers

Hi Chris, I have just been through the same process. I used Coast VW (Devon) who are very knowledgable and I would recommend them (they specialise in T25 work). The cost will vary depending on the extent of the rust and where it is, but it aint cheap! A decent respray with all the bells and whistles is likely to cost £2k - £3k, easily. Sorting the rust may mean a full restoration (which is the option I went for) in which case it's about £7k - £10k. That includes a full rebuild, new panels, sand blasting the seams etc (mine was quite bad). You can be a little selective on what you have done, but there are so many upgrades to consider when your van is being rebuilt, it's hard to resist ading to the cost - I went for replacement insulation, sound proofing, new suspension, new fridge etc, all of which adds up.

If you can describe your van and the location of the rust I may be able to give you more of a guide and hopefully suggest a lower cost!
