water pump part numbers 1.9 petrol

Evening all. Well, my water pump has given up the ghost. I've read the wiki. Searched the forum. Plenty of good advice thanks ! My question is about part numbers and compatibility for the replacement pump. The knackered pump has part number 025.121.019 A. I can only find pumps with variants of 025.121.010 suffixed A B or C. Are these 100% compatible ?

I don't know anyone who references pumps like that. You just want the year and choose accordingly.

VW! - that -019 doesn't seem to be correct, should be 010?

Thanks OBG, useful chart. Looks like mine is the DG variant. Last 4 chars of my pump are deffo 019A though, I took a close up flash photo holding my slim ol' HTC phones camera right down near the part no. cast into the pump body. It also has 1a WWO just above the main number. New pump now ordered.
