looks like my "temporary" paperclip on the wheel hub has given up the ghost!

i'm off to the car spares tomorrow, exactly what do i ask for, never bought a circlip before, size etc.

It's tiny, maybe 4mm? They are so cheap and your motor factors should have a box of assorted sizes, so I'd get the three smallest sizes and get home and try to find the correct, snug size... At least that's what I did!

8mm e-clip. Every VW dealer stocks those even when they don't have anything else.

Oh so that is what is supposed to go on there!!
When I noticed mine didn't have a clip I just put a small cable tie on it, stayed on the last few thousand miles ok.

got a 4mm e-clip, made a "running repair" to the rounding hole, sorted, works like a dream!
