What size jubilee clip petrol filler neck

Post by timski »

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me which size jubilee clip I need for the top of the filler neck behind the petrol cap? It's for a 1991 DJ 2.1

Thanks,
Tim.

I'm not sure either but as always, tis possible to join one jubille clip to another if you can't find one big enough.

Late 'Plastic' filler neck is 48mm diameter going into the tank....I presume it would be the same at the top?
I think Brickwerks list the clamp for this but don't state what size it is.

It's a 60-70mm one on my 1983 Petrol DG with plastic filler tube. I replaced it recently along with the backing ring as they were fecked. Had to remove the whole tube and (carefully) cut the old one off with a hacksaw. It seems to be an area prone to rusting so I replaced with stainless steel. Brickwerks do a stainless backing ring if you need one I think. :)
