Post by rallye69 »

titan strimmer from screwfix...had it 2 years all good, got it out today , starts runs well BUT the speed of the strimmer & hedge cutter attachment is way down, it revs well but hegecutter barley moves, strimmer turns at a slow pace... anyone got any ideas ? :(

They have a centrifugal clutch on the engine and they can rust up over winter and not engage properly hence reving but attachments not up to speed. Also if the attachments have been stored damp the bearings can stiffen but it sounds like clutch probs to me .I am a professional gardener groundsman so come across all sorts of mower,s trimmer, hedge cutter, chainsaw etc probs. titan kit is diy stuff but if you use it correctly and maintain it it works well. :ok
