Hi I'm just fault finding a complete lack of power when under throttle and am left with the MAF sensor and the injectors to test. I'm testing the MAF as per manual and the resistances mentioned there are fine (ie temp sensor and what i assume to be base resistance). However when looking at pins 3 & 4 for the variation in resistance as the flap opens R changes from 730 ohm to around 1300 ohm but no more, all the change happens in a small fraction of the full swing of the flap.....also after that it gets a little erratic and eventually starts to fall back to 800 ohm (which strikes me as odd).
It seems to me that maybe the MAF is knackered, but was wondering if this 730 to 1300 ohm range was actually normal?
I have a 1984 Westy with Engine code GW 1.9 petrol.
Incidentally, have looked at, plugs, coil (changed as resistance was out of range), fuel delivery, new fuel filter, cap & rotor, leads are recent.
Cheers for any help, supposed to be going camping tomorrow
