Wheel fitment advice please. Porsche Twists

Post by Jas1977 »

Hi guys,

Joined the club a couple of months ago and already found it extremely helpful reading the wiki/forums etc not to mention club discounts on parts. Seems a great club. Been reading up and doing my best to understand what i need but by no means think i know it all so please be nice!

Got a T25 hightop Reimo conversion running standard ride hight and standard wheels and tyres. Tyres need replacing so been looking for a set of alloys. Been offered but importantly not comitted to a set of Porsche Twists. They are 17 inch 7J front and 9J rears running 205 50 17 and 255 40 17 ET55 front and rear. Was thinking a set of 25mm adaptors to bring down to ET30 would be needed.

Firstly are the porsche twists sufficiently load rated? (i realise the tyres need to be aswell). They seemto be relatively commonly used on t25's?

Secondly with that size wheel/tyre on the rear with a 25mm adaptor will there be issues with the sliding door? If so would i be able to fit a different tyre to the rear and if so what size?

I've not commited to these yet so please feel free to point out anything else i may have missed or need to consider.

Thanks in advance!

Go over to the Brickyard and read the wheel fitment thread.

That should give you all the info.
